About Mobidec
Ligne Roset is creating Mobidec, a stool uncommonly designed by Pierre Charpin for the ‘MobiBoom’ show at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (23.09.10 – 02.01.11), which was devoted to the blast in French design somewhere in the range of 1945 and 1975. Quite obviously, the design of this ottoman gets from the equestrian world – which, because of its way of life as the gatekeeper of distinctive custom, is something of an enhancive sphere. Resembling a marginally shortened knob horse (or a seat), the heft of the seat lays on a metal base which lifts it starting from the earliest stage, design of which is suggestive of stirrups. A fabric lash, coordinating with the footrest, circles the seat, fixed to these ‘stirrups’, and fills in as a handle to empower Mobidec to be lifted and moved with ease.
