About Herringbone
The Herringbone Vessels are made by over and over drenching ceramic dishes and vases in a shaded glaze. This interaction yields an example with an inherent rationale, dictated by the plunging point just as the shape and weight of the piece. As the coloring system is performed completely the hard way, each bowl and vase in the Herringbone Collection is a novel object. Material: coated ceramic; plunge colored by hand. Created by Raw-Edges, the Herringbone Collection arose out of the studio’s advantage in the procedure of submersion dyeing. The changes of various materials and shapes when portions of them are dunked in a color shower apply a practically enchanted interest on the design team Shay Alkalay and Yael Mer. In 2018, Raw-Edges imagined the decorations and format for a whole floor of the VitraHaus on the Vitra Campus. For this task, they fostered a progression of pads and little, tree-like wooden items with designs dependent on the inundation coloring technique. These pieces met with extraordinary interest, which prompted the choice to additionally refine the designs for mass production. The subsequent Herringbone Collection comprises of three item gatherings: the Herringbone Pillows, Herringbone Vessels and Herringbone Trees. The shading plan and sharpness of the example forms shift contingent upon the particular material.
