Malacca

Malacca is a small table designed by Paola Navone.‎ Base made of Manila cane tied with gut parchment.‎ 2 cm thickness top made of lava stone extracted on the slopes of Etna volcano.‎ “Occhio di Pernice” finish, porous and perforated with water-repellent protective oil.‎ The Etnean basalt is a tough material and shows a dark and uniform colour, whose origin is connected to the cooling process of lava flows.‎ Any blemishes, that are attributable to the naturalness of stones, are not to be considered as defects.‎ Top surfaces visibly vary as they are made with natural materials; all pictures are just a rough guide.‎
